Canvas

Where Food Becomes Art

At canvas , invited chefs express themselves as artists in a gallery like setting; testing ideas, experimenting with tastes to create a unique table of arts for select diners.

Berlin is artful and Berlin is food, so can food be art? Canvas is a place for the chef to perform their artful vision; a place for guests to taste the artworks; and a place to feel the expression, to be provoked.

food as a form of art, is temporal. Created plate by plate, for each customer, and carefully executed in its eye appealing presentation, only to be consumed moments later.

The Chef’s Expression

The restaurant acts like a blank canvas, a rotation of up-and-coming chefs are invited seasonally, their unique style expressed through food, furniture, and plating, creating the ultimate fine dining experience.

Located in the heart of Berlin

Canvas is tucked away in a common courtyard in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, a vibrant place full of hidden artful surprises. Making the restaurant experience feel exclusive and adventurous.

A Blank Canvas

When guests first enter Canvas, they are greeted by the waiting area, which extends out of the restaurant space, following the same design of faceted, pale concrete surfaces of many textures, displaying a preview of the experience within.
